Custom metadata not being added to presigned PUTs

I'm running into this issue as well. Not sure what the best resolution is: Metadata not being inserted - R2 Presigned URLs

context: passing in metadata both while generating the presigned URL as well as when sending the request on the client (as a header) but causing a signature mismatch error.
