Solovair/Gripfast fit/sizing question
I just picked up a pair of Solovair steel-toe derbies. While their website recommends going a half size down for this model I ended up purchasing them true to my normal size (US 11.5). Wearing them as they are my feet slip around in them a little, but not enough for me to fit a finger between my heel and the counter. They don't want to slip off when I walk, either. Adding an insole from one of my other shoes helps to lock them in better, too. Is this acceptable? Do I need to go another half-size down? Will they get unacceptably loose post-break in? I have little experience with leather shoes, so I'm not quite sure what to expect. Thanks in advance for any advice
