I don't think you're deleting them server-side, and the game is tagged as having achievements on https://www.gog.com/en/game/doom_doom_ii

if there's an in-game display of achievements, you can delete your save and config files, and it's probably not going to repopulate, unless it pulls from the server

afaik i dont think you can generally delete achievements from the server, and generally achievements arent stored locally
maybe locally temporarily until the cache is flushed to the server, but you have no control over that
at least not ones going through gog or steam or xbox or ps or whatever

but ime thats pretty rare for devs to do

just disable comet in advanced Heroic settings, you'll lose other features like multiplayer though

No, I simply want to re-earn them
On some gamed I'm able to do it
But I don't know where to find the right directory for doom

like i said, if it records it server side, probably nothing you can do unless gog offers a way to clear them, but typically devs use achievements as a poorman's telemetry and so its kind of a one way deal
you can try clearing out your saves as suggested
but i doubt that will change anything

You also might contact gog support to reset your account's progress with the game? Seems like something they might have more insight on than us

fwiw its not common for achievement APIs for various store fronts to have any functionality for resetting the state, ime

but it causes more issues than fix
ex the activity feed is not aware of the reset

Ok update; I disabled comet and it worked!... Until I realized I couldn't load my mods 😕 is there a solution to this? And while I'm at it, how do I download mods to my SD card?
And to clarify, when I re-enabled comet all my achievements came back , ugh 😩

That strongly suggests they are completely server-side, and you won’t be able to do anything to reset them.

Dude, ever played Doom with mods? :thonk: I got all the achievements long ago and still play the game due to mods which there is a ton out of there.... (Way more mods then Skyrim..)
