can't connect xbox Series controller via bluetooth

As per the title, using the GUI it's not seen at all, if I use

bluetoothctl

bluetoothctl

bluetoothctl

bluetoothctl

I can see the controller, but when I

pair <MAC ADDRESS>

pair <MAC ADDRESS>

pair <MAC ADDRESS>

pair <MAC ADDRESS>

I get

Device <MAC ADDRESS> not available

Device <MAC ADDRESS> not available

Device <MAC ADDRESS> not available

Device <MAC ADDRESS> not available

Is there any way to connect the controller wirelessly?
I'm on the latest controller firmware and it works when wired
