Dressing down a navy blazer to wear it more

I bought a navy blazer a year and half ago based on the subreddit’s idea that it “is the most versatile jacket a man can own. Though I find myself not wearing it too often, since I live in the west coast and don’t attend a prestigious university. To me it just seems too formal for most occasions (work, dinner, etc.) I’m 27 also.

I am looking for ideas on how to style it that’s less ivy and more casual or even workwear. I have a banquet coming up for a club that’s not necessarily formal, but also people typically try to dress nicer.

One outfit I came up with is this chambray shirt, olive drab officer chinos, boots. Curious what you think?
