Returnal Will Not Launch
Attempting to launch Returnal from epic game store and I get no errors. Just launching, then nothing. Using GE Proton 9-5

make sure you've got the wine dependencies
Install Wine Dependencies by following this guide
If this does not immediately resolve your issue, you might also have to delete your Wineprefix (by default it's in
~/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/<game name>)
Alternatively, you can use the Flatpak version of Heroic: https://flathub.org/apps/com.heroicgameslauncher.hglafraid-scarlet•8mo ago
my only other thought is you could try this with proton-ge latest and umu

Thank you for the reply. I tried proton-ge + umu as well as wine dependencies and neither worked unfortunately.
I can run the game through lutris as long as Epic Games Launcher runs first. There seems to be an issue with how Returnal handles being launched

Any more detail on this? I'm facing what seems like the exact same issue. I've been trying all various wine, proton, proton-ge versions, toggling options, even tried a separate fresh install of Pop!OS in case I had some kernel tuning or somesuch awry on my Debian stable install. Still no dice.

Just in the middle of seeing if installing and running the EGS launcher within the game's prefix will help. If not I'll post a log after.
