Hogwarts Legacy not launching
After launch a window pops up saying: "Failed to initialize DirectX 12..."
I have tried using the Proton Experimental, latest GE Proton version and the Proton 9.0 beta version. The pop up window shoes up both in gaming mode and desktop mode.
I have attached the log. Hope this helps and someone can help me.

Turn off Dxvk-nvapi since steam decks don't have an Nvidia driver
Turn on umu in the advanced heroic settings
install dotnet46, vcrun2019, vcrun2022 via winetricks

I had to click on "install a Windows DLL or component" in Protontricks, right? Sorry, I am very new to this. 😄

Oh, my bad!
Found it, but still confused. It says on the top:
"Nothing was installed by Winetricks yet.
Progress:"
And in the Window it says:
"Proton: Running winetricks verbs in predix: dotnet46
Done"

if you close out of the dialogue box and reopen it does it say dotnet46 is installed?

i don't know why that chooses not to work sometimes but is fine other times
@Linguin any reason that the dependencies wouldn't be installing here?

yes it says that, when i try to install it over the gui. I guess the deck comes preinstalled with a 64bit version?

heroic doesn't collect identifying information in the logs i don't think

I don't know. maybe I installed it with what I did first with the ProtonTricks app? I am too confused to know. 😄 I'll try installing the other two

did the update, restarted the launcher, but it's still saying the same thing when I try to install dotnet46 etc..
I think I'll leave it be for tonight, my brain is cooked 😄

I got it working! I pressed the winecfg button in the game settings and had Windows 7 selected and switched it to 10. Please don't laugh, I am new to this lol.
Maybe this helps someone having similiar issues.
