"ujust regenerate-grub" does not save changes on reboot

I'm trying to dual-boot Fedora Workstation 41 and Bazzite 41.
Every time I use the command to regenerate-grub (as per the documentation states), the terminal says that the Fedora entry has been found and entered in.
But when I reboot right afterwards, I do not see the entry on startup. I've tried multiple variants of this, even a system update, and I still don't see the entry in GRUB on startup.
Solution
dual booting with a 2nd linux system is not supported IIRC for atomic systems.
has to rely on the bios boot menu
