Seam between LOD dropoff chunks

Using Distant Horizons 2.2.1 on MC 1.21.1. When LOD chunks drop off in quality there is a very visible seam between the higher and lower quality chunks.
I've disabled mods like Sodium and Iris but the issue persists.

Solution

its a known bug. not much you can do about it
