Exited with code 1
Hi there,
Attempting to install (Steamdeck) bazzite-deck-stable ISO onto a new:
Crucial P310 NVMe PCIe Gen4 M.2 2230 1TB
from a:
Kingston DataTraveler SE9 G2 USB 3.0 32GB
(Using Rufus 4.6.2208)
for the:
GPD WIN MINI 2024
AMD Ryzen 8840u
32GB RAM LPDDR5
x64 System
I have attempted a previous install with the GPD bazzite iso but it has missing kernel & vmlinuz files.
I have attempted to format the new SSD multiple times, removing the EFI 200/600mb volume and only get as far as user creation etc screen
Disk install allocation screen I delete all partitions , fill out the other screen but get stopped on the exit code error
what is the recommended:
format for USB stick (exFAT, FAT32, or NTFS)
format for the Crucial SSD ?
I’ve attached images of settings used and error info
I’d be sincerely grateful for any advice
best regards

Try change the partition scheme to GPT. I've had weird installs when trying to install stuff with MBR.
Something else to try would be to remove the partitions in another program like Gparted in Linux Mint and then try the installation. Sometimes the installer does weird things with the partitions
Might also be worth doing a checksum on your ISO and compare it with the one of next to the download button on the website. (I usually use 7zip for that)
Also have you looked at the docs? https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/troubleshoot_guide/

Bazzite is a custom image built upon Fedora Atomic Desktops that brings the best of Linux gaming to all of your devices.
Thank you for your reply! Since ive reverted to win 11 on the new SSD through system image, I’ll attempt this again on the old SSD as a test
I currently only have a macOS system and 1 windows device to run installs/ disk management software but I’ll try your suggestions or find a work around
