Assign date from album name

I have a ton of assets with the date "Dec 31, 1" – where the original has no EXIF date, but is in a folder with correct date because I used immich-go with the -create-album-folder option. Is there any way to update the date on all these assets to match the folder name? The docs say that "Immich-go tries to determine the date of capture with the file name, or the file path" – but that does not seem to be working. Thanks!

Is this an Immich question or an immich-go one?

Both, really. Wondering if there's a way to fix within immich. I also linked in #immich-go

So is there any way to batch fix bad dates?
Zeus

You can use exiftool before you upload Immich had no way to batch change date but not time

Sorry – too many negatives for me – are you saying there is no way to batch fix dates? (I don't care about time) Thanks

Also I now have a bunch of these 'grey assets' that cannot be opened, edited, or deleted, plus this warning when I try to view them.

If I fix EXIF with exiftool – and then re-upload – will that replace the bad asset with the good one?
Zeus

you can multiselect files in the web view and change date/time that way You should probably figure out why you have missing/grey assets, and no, it will not auto replace

I cannot select one or any of those grey blocks.
