AMD Radeon RX 580 I watched countless vids on the issue but nothing really solves it I only have one monitor so display shouldnt be an issue i tried switching from the HDM1 port on my GPU to the motherboard but no luck

Hello! My apologies for the delay. Given the problem description I believe it's due to the GPU. Which vendor is your RX 580 from? Sapphire, MSI, or someone else?

Im not sure its a pre built PC and this isnt the original GPU I had done an upgrade per say which I just bought it off amazon and installed it

Can you do me a favor please? Could you take a look at your order history and send me a picture of the GPU? I can figure out what I need to know if I know what it looks like.

Yeah Everything is up to date Its just the whole CSM disabling issue that causes me to have no display when trying to re enter my bios

Can you temporarily use GPU-Z https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ and send me a screenshot of the output? You can DM me it, if you would prefer.

@Cody sorry been really busy lately but here u go The one thing ive been theorizing lately is that when I installed my new GPU i might've done it wrong since I just took out my old one and just plugged my new one in or my GPU really does suck because it tends to crash ALOT

I had that same GPU as you have in past. Its issue with old architecture of GPU witch doesn't like UEFI only CSM. So you need to put out battery/reset bios, then turn on secure boot, set XMP for Rams and turn on UEFI. If u want to go again to your bios u need to hard reset it by battery. I know its annoying but i didnt found any fix for that after that years :D

how do i turn on secure boot without turning off csm
KublochGaming
KublochGaming2w ago
In one single bios reset u need to switch into UEFI, then turn on secure boot. And if it ask you to reboot after changing CSM to UEFI just press no. and reboot it manually after all changes

@KublochGaming Ok so today im going to go ahead and try it just to make sure about what you said First I reset my bios by taking out the battery then go and boot through UEFI mode into my bios and turn on secure boot If it doesn’t let me and asks to turn on csm how am i supposed to save the changes without leaving the bios

So, to fix the issue you're facing, you need to be able to disable CSM in the bios. It looks like your GPU should support this. Can you please send me a picture of the secure boot settings page in your bios via dm?

Also please let me know what your partition format is. You can find it by searching "storage" opening "storage settings" clicking on "advanced storage settings" and then clicking on "disks & volumes" you'll see the above picture. Then click properties on disk 0 and it should be under "partition style".
