Looking for black shoes / boots that can be used for travel
Going on a 3 week multi city trip to turkey next month and wanna bring an all arounder type of black shoe. Prefer soemthing relatively light for easy packing, waterproof so i dont have to worry about it getting wet and also comfortable enough for 15-20k steps per day
My default for this situation would be my AF1 black GTX but its on its last legs and the pleather is already flaking so im looking to see if i can get something similar
Eyeing on the following:
clarks maplewalk moc (design is kinda mid but i tested in store and feels pretty comfy) Chelsea boots maybe from clarks or dr martens Or just go full gorp with a pegasus trail 5

I have a pair of ballistic nylon cordura docs that I like a lot
I think they’re called the “combs”
Ime living in a wet climate, you don't need waterproof shoes unless you're stepping in deep puddles or sinking into mud
That should give you a lot more options
👆
My hiking shoes aren't even waterproof lol
waterproof shoes tend to trap moisture inside
Wool socks are good too, they will keep you warm wet or dry
more often than keeping out
get trail shoes if you really want all purpose
You’re gonna cook whatever you get if you wear them that much for 3 weeks straight
adidas terrex is often on sale and has solid designs
No breaks is what kills shoes fastest
I wouldn’t get a boot boot because it’ll be heavy as hell and you’d want to break them in before they got comfortable
Yeah i think the terrex looks better than pegasus
Right thats what im worried abt
Probably just get blundstones
And bring some super light other option that you can swap into whenever possible
Like a loafer or something
These do look good
Well not as good as a boot but better than what nike has
If you want something more sneaker like that’s a different story
If you want a boot don’t get sneakers and vice versa

i own some of these, they are nice for sure if you like the look
This one good?
tbh ultraboosts were my most consistant shoe for long trips for quite a while
Frankly those are pretty ugly imo
:xd: the docs or ultraboosts, both are true
Riding the line between boot and sneaker and techwear is a dangerous game
The docs this time haha
Few succeed at it
But it kinda comes down to your personal hierarchy here
for like a techwear ish sneaker thers the xt-6

terrex, blundstone, and xt-6 are best looking shoes in this thread so far
Gravitating towards terrex

these blundstones?
Blundstone USA
Black Premium Leather Chelsea Boots, Men's Style 510 - Blundstone USA
Built to last, the iconic Original #510 boots combine legendary comfort and outstanding durability; proof that sturdy and straightforward never goes out of style.
But If blundstones are comfortable enough with just a week of breaking ini might get it
Are blundstones comfy enough without much break in?
Agree with Bishop i think blunnies are your best bet
Looks good, built well, easy break in
get some salomons
Salomon’s blundstones and the tyrex probably all fine, just pick whichever makes the most sense for what you wear
Thank you all
Gonna get the blundstones
i have a pair of terrex that i wore every day for 2 years hiking, walking, everything, they are beat to shit and still so comfortable, planning to wear them to grand canyon next week 🙏
