Dredge not launching
Hi,
Recently got Dredge for free from Amazon, via GoG.
I cannot seem to get the game to launch.
Please see log attached.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👏

Thanks for the suggestion, I've disabled that but still the same result. I get a box pop up with Dredge - Unity and loading bar..
Once that finishes the box closes and then nothing

Does Heroic have permissions to access your SD card?

Other games that I've installed to the SD card with Heroic boot and play fine so I assume so

Heroic does by default, and if it did not, you would see
/run/user/1000/doc/... in the installed path at the top

/lib/ld-linux.so.2: could not openHmm, very odd error. Usually this happens when you have missing Wine Dependencies, but this is Flatpak (so those aren't an issue) Have you tried the command mentioned in #:pushpin: Read Me First | Frequently Asked Questions:
flatpak update && flatpak install --reinstall com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl

i'm pretty sure umu is still not working in game mode on steam decks, no?

i went and turned it on and it is actually worse now lol
it is now sitting on the steam deck loading screen and plays the music of whatever game i launch, then crashes

You could try to delete the umu runtime to force it to redownload it

for an unrelated issue in Lutris, I had to delete the
umu.py runtime file

It seems that you're on Bazzite "Kinoite" while @termdisc is on "Silverblue". Not sure if that makes a difference

Shouldn’t because game mode is separate from the DE. The difference between the two is KDE vs GNOME

Bazzite is essentially Fedora Atomic with more stuff baked in for gaming
Weird. I do still get the ProtonFixes stuff at the beginning of the run log
Protonfixes are also ran without UMU
Could you verify that it's enabled in Heroic's advanced settings?

I cleared out my umu runtimes, re-ran the game in both desktop and game modes. this is the log from game mode where I quit at seeing the game menu.

the quickest thing that I can see different is that rawtoast does not have game mode enabled
but I don't know if that'll be determinative

i should have made a separate thread on this, honestly
my issue is that no game actually loads the game screen, even though the sound plays. it sits on the steam loading screen and doesn't move on to the game while in game mode with umu
umu off on proton has no issues whatsoever
