Proper .env for NAS Path
I am starting from scratch, brand new NAS, brand new Raspberry PI OS Installed, brand new Immich docker. I am trying to figure out what I need to put in the "UPLOAD_LOCATION=" for my pictures to be upload to my NAS. I have attached my mounted paths on the command line.

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.Looks like you mounted your nas on /media/pishare, so that'd be the path
so that line should read = UPLOAD_LOCATION=/media/pishare or UPLOAD_LOCATION=./media/pishare
./
indicates the current folder, which is not what you wantand do I need to "sudo docker compose down" before i change the env file
No
None of the changes in .env do anything until you
docker compose up
right i am up and running now with the standard library path
i just ran docker compose up -d for the first time
should I right now do the "sudo docker compose down"
You’ll need to move everything from the standard path to the new path
Or reset the database to start over
I am ok with reseting the database
how would I do that
Delete everything from DB_DATA_LOCATION
in the env file?
No, from your filesystem
I am not sure where that is
Where do I find the DB_DATA_LOCATION
It's defined in your .env file
would i just move the entire /immich-app folder to my nas drive?
I haven't read the entire thread so not sure what you're actually trying to achieve
I'd do what Zeus told you though
just trying to make my nas shared folder where all my pictures go
