Mobile App: How do I backup photos in another folder?

I used to see my local folders in the mobile app, and be able to upload photos from there. Now I see none. How do I back up photos that aren't from my main camera roll? Device: Pixel 8 Latest Android OS

Wait for a bit on the folder selection screen a minute should be enough

What screen is that? "On this device"? "Library"?

The settings page where you go to select folders to backup

I do like how it's more organized now Where 'Library' has the 'On this device' tab but it's not as intuitive as I'd hope

Gotcha after selecting the folder for backup, it now shows as 'On this device' I just wish it was a blend of the old/new way where I could manually choose photos to back up from said folders Probably a good reason for it somehow

It's an often requested thing these days so it's sure to make it's way back
