Cockpit behind Cloudflare access

Hi, I recently put cockpit behind cloudflare access and now cannot log in, the console looks like this: https://pls-end.me/EBJBtl
I also get

Error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.

when the page requests something in the background (not too familiar with cockpit so not sure what it's requesting), it was working pre-access despite it being proxied but there were a few errors I suspect had something to do with rocket loader which I have now disabled.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
