Xbox Wireless Controller - How to get the controller to sleep before shutting down?

I have an Xbox wireless controller connected via the official wireless adapter. When shutting down on Bazzite the controller is not put to sleep before shutdown happens which is how it used to behave in windows.

Is there a way to enable this behaviour on Bazzite?
