gta v

rockstar is trying to make me buy gta even tho i have it on epic. already downloaded the fix.bat file that was recommended, and it did nothing. when looking at the log file, the last line says wine: Read access denied for device L"\\??\\Z:\\", FS volume label and serial are not available. i've tried looking on the subreddit as well, but haven't see anything helpful

hmmm, not sure what's happening there's another solution that works better but requires more work (we are looking into automating it), but if you have the skill you can try the instructions using this github repository https://github.com/Etaash-mathamsetty/heroic-epic-integration

actually, I think you can download the custom .exe file from https://github.com/Etaash-mathamsetty/heroic-epic-integration/actions/runs/12343488613 without having to compile it yourself

- download the .zip file - extract the .exe file from inside the zip - rename it as EpicGamesLauncher.exe - copy that .exe file inside the GTAV install directory (next to the PlayGTAV.exe file) - create a text file called fix.bat with the content start "" EpicGamesLauncher.exe PlayGTAV.exe %* - set that fix.bat file as an alternative exe in the game's settings

I followed those steps it says "Rockstar launcher is already running" but the R* launcher never starts fix.bat

you can only use crossover 24 paid or whiskey (with some very specific settings) for gtav

okay, I relogged with epic games and now it's going thru the installation and setup process of R* launcher. after it's successful installation I cannot get the launcher to run or the game. ill share the logs https://0x0.st/XCxs.log

i dont know the settings for whiskey but it wont work out of the box in whiskey you need special settings its in one of the other gtav threads https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1270848465454235658/1271171655070388344 truthfully though, the mac is probably the worst gaming machine, it only works sometimes.. if you really intend to play lots of games id get something else

this fix.bat made the GTA5 launch but im not logged in into the rockstar launcher how do i login? the R* launcher doesn't launch when game's starting I agree with you originally had asus scar 16 (4070) endup returning bcs of QC issues. anyway i just want to see how well GTAV works on mac. I don't play that many games.

no. i specifically linked the whiskey settings, not the fix bat the fix bat you need is in the post above: https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1319513312374821017/1319521394509480099 you follow those steps then use the whiskey settings if you are going to use whiskey from the link i gave above. otherwise gtav requires the paid crossover 24

UPDATE: Working Perfectly now after Turn on Esync and disabeld all other setting in CrossOver The game has started following the steps mentioned above, but I am encountering "Error Code 15" from Rockstar along with an option to exit the game. I purchased the game through Epic Games and am using the latest paid version of CrossOver, the latest version of Heroic, and the alternative executable and one liner fix.bat file mentioned earlier. Thank you @arieljuod

uhh Downloaded GTA V through the Heroic Launcher. Replaced the EpicGamesLauncher.exe in the GTA V directory with the custom executable from the Heroic-Epic integration fix. Copied the fix.bat file into the GTA V directory (or confirmed it was already present there). Opened the Rockstar Launcher and logged in successfully. Attempted to run the fix.bat file using CrossOver to launch the game. Encountered the "Awaiting authorization from Epic Games Launcher" message in the Rockstar Launcher.

ooh also in my macs epic my own acc was signed in i signed into his acc now and deleted all rockstar games folder from the crossover bottle i.e reinstall it

so make sure you are with the correct account and leave the message there waiting for a while, it says it can take up to 5 minutes the first time the reports I remember with that authorization pending thing I think were solved by just waiting

damm it says play on epic nice i cllicked on play on epic is there a loading screen in the launcher to show progress? or it shows nothing is it normal if it takes like time to launch? I saved the bat file ran it and the launcher is taking time to open a weird rockstar loading screen

Hi, First of all, I’d like to thank you for the suggestion. I was able to follow the steps without any issues. I downloaded the .zip file, extracted the .exe file, and renamed it as EpicGamesLauncher.exe. I copied the renamed file into the RDR2 installation directory (next to PlayRDR2.exe). Additionally, I created a fix.bat file with the following content: start "" EpicGamesLauncher.exe PlayRDR2.exe %* I then set this fix.bat file as the alternative executable in Heroic Launcher. Everything went smoothly, and I believe this method might have resolved the initial issue. However, after completing these steps, I encountered a new problem. New Issue: When attempting to launch the game, I am now facing the following error: "error:FFFFFF" It seems this issue could be related to Wine or Rockstar Launcher. I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions from someone who might have experienced a similar problem. Thank you in advance!

yeah. the fix.bat route didn't change anything for me. i'm using the flatpak version of heroic. i'm able to run other games on heroic. i'm able to run gta5 on steam flatpak. i'll spend some more time to debug this later before taking anyone's time.

I downloaded the new epicgameslauncher.exe by looking at the instructions. I removed the Prefixes folder to get clean. I got the same error again as in my previous trials. https://0x0.st/8sGG.log

share a game log are you getting the Unknown FFFFFFF error? I really have no idea what to do with that, I haven't seen that error ever before the fix.bat solves the problem of rockstar thinking the game is not owned, the Error: FFFFFFFF is unrelated and I don't know of any fix

sorry, I don't know, I only collected information about GTAV and whisky but I don't have any way to try it myself and know what's happening the only 100% confirmation I read from users here in discord is that the paid version of Crossover works, about whisky and gptk I've only read instructions but I don't know more than that maybe someone else on apple silicon macs knows about that issue
