Immich loads correctly and works great from localhost:2283, but from remote its show the spinner
I'm running Immich locally in my windows machine. As the title suggest, it works great from localhost:2283
I opened the router port,
configured the port forwarding,
opened the windows local firewall ports
and tested a server I spawned in java to test accessibility to the designated port (2283)
I am able to access from a remote proxy to this mock instance.
I than stop my mock instance and start immich server - works from localhost
but from remote it shows the immich beautiful spinner only :immich: (attached), not reaching the login page
running latest release version always, currently on v1.123.0
windows 11, latest docker desktop
no apparent errors in the db logs
What's my next steps to debug this?
Thanks in advanced ❤️

Information
In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l
and df -h
).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.
Without the right information we can't work out what the problem is. Help us help you ;)
If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.this is most likely windows firewall stuff, it is very persistent and I would recommend continuing to work on this
I've turned it off using the below cmd:
start call NetSh Advfirewall set allprofiles state off
unfortunatelly I get the same results
I also checked wireshark - sniffer on the card, I do see some packets go back and forth to the server and its stops real fast
We have discouraged the use of windows lately because it provides a pretty subpar immich experience. This is likely an example of that unfortunately
Clear browser cache etc, and check devtools console & network log
cleared + used 2 different browsers + mobile - its either getting timed out or unreachable
I suspect its the router- is it possible ?
I'll try switching a router and test - or install a fresh linux dist.. which one has best compatibility for immich?

Ubuntu is a good option
Thank you
I'll setup a dedicated machine..
