How should I set up large External Libraries for all users?

Hello again, I have a very large External Libraries that is shared among all family members. Each family member also has his/her own smaller External Library. How should I set up this large EL such that the scanning won't be performed multiple times unnecessarily?

You can make a user for the shared assets, add the shared external library to that with exclusions, then use partner share If you add the same assets to multiple users they wil be re encoded no way to avoid that

@Zeus thank you. in order to use "partner share", I need to place all the scanned thumbnails to an album first, then share that album. Is this correct? Is it possible to just share all the photos under that common user account without placing all photos in the albums?

Partner share does share all assets yes Not just an album

yes this common user account is the 3rd user in server

Do you have the like private users setting? Check the admin settings. There’s an option to hide other users

okok the admin account can add users. searched the docs, can't locate where to hide other users within admin
