SMTP Settings: Invalid user token (Immich Server Error)
Hi there,
I'm trying to setup SMTP on a new immich instance. I've entered the gmail details just as before on a different instance (running on the same machine). But I get the error above, in the title.
It may be a port issue, given that the two instance are both running on one machine. But I believe I've gone through and change the ports around properly. The request to
/api/notifications/test-email
is being sent to the correct port (2284, in this case)5 Replies

Not sure what changed, but now I get Failed to verify SMTP configuration
I am having the same issue. It doesn't matter if I use Gmail or my own SMTP server (Mailcow), I always get the Failed to verify SMTP configuration error.
I'm running it in Docker on an Asustor NAS via a Portainer stack. Also, nothing noteworthy in the Docker logs.
Immich v1.123.0
I don't see any networks configured in the docker compose file. Maybe that's something to look into?
Bugs like this are basically exclusively due to bad inputs
So, maybe you can test with a different SMTP client
I am using the Gmail config (as per the documentation), as well as using my own self-hosted email server. Same result on both
