Even though they still make a bag, I gotta say Apolis. I still lust after their indigo wool chore coat. Additionally, I would say Eidos though I never found much interest in their tailoring. The outerwear though…

yeah. pants were all over the map in sizing even on the same cut. tailoring between seasons was like 3" apart in chest, short, etc. The fabrics were all great that is the one thing I will give to the team there -- great taste in fabrics
Speaking of fabric you just reminded me of two more brands: Roy denim and Byborre
Im glad byborre is still around to offer their fabric
But their clothing sucked sizing wise, super weird cuts

not only that but they had the most insane reqs for wholesalers to buy the clothes
I feel like Patrik Ervell's old stuff in a more modern wider cut would kill right now too, I loved the details and fabrics on his clothes.
and a weird structure that they were convinced was 'revolutionary' but in reality just doesnt work for retailers lol so the owner kept on ranting about 'the fashion industry is not ready for us'

My favorite; Pierre cardin. Dude was a wizard and they made some really nice tailoring and eyewear as well. He licensed the crap out of the brand and now its completely screwed
more of a spiritual successor but somebody made it happen
I think the Eidos cuts are well-executed if you really love the exaggerated tailoring but man is it hard to work into anything else.
Their fabrics are incredible though

I wouldnt wear much of it at this time but haider ackermann was such a massive part of my plunge in to more interesting fashion and the slow fade in to the brands closing was really sad to see
