Update graphic drivers/Crash
I'm having a valorant crash upon a few minutes into the game. i have a laptop gpu rtx 3050, the crash message prompt says i need to update my driver but it's up to the date

On a note: i have updated my windows to the latest version, the prompt still exists, I've started to get blue screen errors saying video tdr failure, i tried rolling back to the previous version of windows, still nothing changed. I finally decided to reset my laptop, which has been the ultimate solution to almost all of the technical problems however the crash still persists.
Update: i have updated my bios to the latest version as i stumbled upon a few fixes in the nvidia server which mentioned updating bios could fix it, however it didn't.

valorant is using ur igpu
u have to make it use ur dedicated gpu
go into windows settings > graphics
and then add valorant
how do you know that it's using my igpu
and set to high performance
thats the most common thing in laptops
mux switch disbales ur igpu and makes ur laptop run on dedicated one
fyi, this was a test that maybe running it on igpu doesn't crash, however i ended up with the same crash prompt

i used to play every game of mine on rtx 3050 by selecting the dedicated one in the settings

what game exe u have in there can u send ss of it
the ss of that error was when i used igpu, however that gives the same output as it would be when i run it on dedicated gpu
so there's no point in switching

event viewer is windows utility to see why a program is crashing

ur laptop crashed as in whole or just the game
if im running bigger games like Arkham Knight or Marvel rivals, i experience crashes but with different error codes which all lead to something faulty with the gpu
depends upon the games, for valorant, my laptop gets crashed, im having to either sign out by ctrl+alt+del or force shut down
Uninstall drivers with display driver uninstaller and reinstall them.
a temporary fix just for valorant is to play it completely on low settings

let me walk you through the stuffs i have done,
As far as the measures I have taken, I can conclude that,
I have reset my laptop, didn't help.
Rolling back drivers don't help.
Updating bios didn't help.
Tried the Nvidia Hotfix, nope.
Updated windows to the latest version, nothing changed.
Performed a clean graphic driver installation, nah.
Turning on Performance mode on my Omen, doesn't help.
Tried launching games on integrated Intel UHD graphics, didn't help.

After using DDU i tried installing the previous driver version but that doesnt help either
which confuses me because i have been thinking it's the new drivers' fault
one person has reported that rolling back drivers fixed this very issue, however in most of the cases it doesn't
New gpu drivers always get into issues i just get stable versions

i have same cpu as urs and yes it is undervolted but i never faced the issue before undervolt aswell tho my gpu is 4050
well its the power the cpu can draw from the source
this issue doesn't happen only to 3050 and also happens only to a few users

undervolting is pain in the ass
how could this cause a problem out of the blue? my laptop has handled worse i.e ray tracing on cypberpunk, i've never faced any crashes like these
however i'll try figuring it out now
idk different game works differently
one user also suggested to limit the fps i.e turn on vsync for the game in nvidia control panel
for him it fixed the issue
Not really, I have been playing valorant since i've bought this laptop which is 2 years ago
tuning anything in the nvidia control panel doesn't help at all, i've tried everything tbh.
my omen doesn't have the capability to turn on discrete mode unfortunately

the entire setting menu is missing in mine, my laptop is very much nerfed as it's quite old for 2025

because from nvidia support, i happened to find that updating bios can fix this

by pressing the del key upon booting up the laptop?
