cant seem to add external library with ro permissions (Immich+SynoPhotos)
Installed Immich via docker compose and I want to link my users Synology Photos folders to users on Immich as read only. But even with documentation and reading reddit and GitHub comments/questions I cant figure it out. Also in a way that no other users on the NAS can access them for privacy.
Screenshot added a an example but i tried multiple different paths, but its possibly a permissions issue.
Synology DS920+
DSM up to date
Immich up to date.

Linux is case sensitive, you have
sambit
on one location and Sambit
in the other
From your screenshots, Sambit
is correct so edit your docker compose to /volume1/homes/Sambit/Photos/2016:/usr/src/app/external/sambit
@Mraedis thank you sm! so the import path will be "usr/src/app/external/sambit" ?
Yes the right hand side doesn't matter much as long as you input the same in the GUI
I say much because you can't overwrite existing directories etc... but other than that meh
failed again

Did you docker compose down and up after changing your compose file?
yes i restarted the container twice

If you get shell in the server container are you able to see the directory in the structure?
this is what i see after ls

Yeah, so your volume isn't being bound the container, as there's no
external
entry in there. Something is going on with your mount from the nasi have jellyfin installed on my Synology too and its showing up in here, could it be an issue?

LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Honestly I don't use synology so I am not sure how it is supposed to work.
No, Immich uses jellyfin-ffmpeg inside it's container so that's normal
any way around this? or a fresh install?
you need to stop the container, clean, delete the container, then rebuild the project
