Looking for pleated trousers recommendations

1 pleat or 2 pleat? Does the number of pleats matter if you're shorter (5"6)? What are some of your favorite pleated trousers cuts and brands? What about vintage? I'm mostly looking for cuts that aren't slim, mostly looking to try out new type of pants. Also I am swing dancing, so if you have an idea of appropriate trousers or clothing in general I'd highly appreciate that. Thanks in advance!!
