Boti: Byteland Overclocked (GOG) → Fatal Error with Wine/Proton despite Gold compatibility
I love Heroic Game Launcher, it works with almost every game on Linux. In this case, it always shows an unhelpful message box only saying "Fatal Error", no matter what I try (Wine Staging, Wine-GE-latest, Proton-GE-latest, Steam Runtime using UMU), also in Lutris.
Do I miss something? OpenVR, Vulkan Extensions? I looked over wine config and winetricks but changing it did not help.
I am surprised because ProtonDB gives it Gold proton compatibility status, with one comment saying to successfully run it on Arch (I am using Garuda Linux which is Arch-based). All Wine Dependencies are up to date.
The attached log file is produced with Wine-GE. The only difference is when using UMU, then it omits basically all information or error text from the log after the game starts.

In this case, it always shows an unhelpful message box only saying "Fatal Error"When does it say this?

Thanks for answering!
It says "Fatal Eror" in a message box of Wine (without any other text) everytime after starting the game (when executing the game), no matter which option I tried (I also tried UMU launcher and PortProton that was mentioned somehwere in the web). There is no other visual response before that.

Kingdom Hearts 3 used to do that occasionally even on Windows. Can you post a new log with GE-Proton-latest + UMU and with
WINEDEBUG=+fixme

Okay, I reinstalled the game in Heroic and ran the command in the shell, as it is displayed in the log and added the WINEDEBUG=+fixme.
The result is in this text file. I also tested it with Lutris and got the same log.
To me, it looks like it wants to use NTLM and Kerberos but is not working. Do I need to install stuff into the prefix? Also weird, reminds me of DRM although it is from GOG.

Where is this log from?

Sorry for being amateurish. It was the output of the game command but I admit, it does not have the header info like the other one. I checked, I need to press the "+" button to add the environment variable configuration. Now, this is the log directly from Heroic.
