Make your own Uno no longer detected

My Uno R3 is no longer detected when I plug it into the computer, so I need to reset the MEGA16U2 chip. However all the instructions involve the reset jumper pins, but this board does not have those, instead having a USB C to Serial module, see attached photo. How can I reset the chip??

Those joints don'T look good, can you hit them with a bit more heat and solder flux? Also since the power LED is lighting up, try using a different USB-C cable. Some are Charge Only.

same result on my other cables, i'll try and solder them a bit better 😛

technically it should already work with the USB-C module even unsoldered. The USB connection is just between the USB-C cable and the ATMega16u2. only the back side looks like bad solder joints. the top looks okay.

Hmm, so the question remains, how do we reset this module then?

https://docs.arduino.cc/resources/schematics/AKX00037-schematics.pdf Can you see J2 written anywhere on the USB-C module?

you may want to clean up those solder joints, some look "cold"
