tiktok has the worst videos ever
you do know that the reason for the tiktok ban is the US government wanting to censor media and have the ability to erase any internet history they mildly dislike, and the reason is also anchored in racism and discrimination
i also mildly dislike tiktok but giving the united states government the right to ban any app or media is fucking insane
not to mention thousands of people rely on tiktok just to make enough money to stay alive

well technically it's not their official reason
and it wouldve been pretty funny
not to all the people that do it for a living but still
why would the government say their official reason is racism and media control
they arent saying it
but its obvious
plus if the legislation passes
its not just tiktok that would get banned
capcut would get banned too
and likely rednote
i already dislike the american political system and letting them ban an entire platform just because you dont like it is not a good opinion

but the nature of the app is what matters more than the owner
capcut doesn't store much of anything as it's not a platform
it's an app but not a service so I would assume congress would probably leave it alone
there are better apps than capcut anyway
actually I don't have much faith in your congress, they'd probably find a reason to ban it too
