Inconsistent vdesktop switching with Bazzite Gnome

I've had a look around but am struggling to figure out how to get Bazzite (Gnome) to scroll consistently -- this happened in the main menu of STALKER 2 as well with my controller, and overall animations seem incredibly fast. Doesn't happen on any other distro so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I've also used GNOME's mouse test for scrolling and it works consistently.
