Grip crash on load screen - Intel CPU and OpenSSL issue

https://0x0.st/8HfH.log Read about the newer cpu issue, I tried to launch winetricks to add the env variable but I get errors there too and it does not launch. 😦

Wine-GE is rather old now (last release is almost a year ago) and thus might not work correctly. Please follow these instructions on using GE-Proton with umu instead: 1. Head to the Wine Manager in Heroic, click the "Proton-GE" tab, and install "Proton-GE-Latest" 2. Enable umu in "Settings" (Heroic sidebar) -> "Advanced" -> "Use UMU as Proton runtime" Note: For a visual guide, see attached image 3. Head to the settings for your game(s) (icon on game card in library). In the "Wine Version" dropdown, select "Proton - Proton-GE-latest"

Make sure to also delete /home/zoidberg/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/GRIP to clear any modifications left behind by Wine-GE

Add WINEDEBUG=+fixme to the environment variables for the game, then re-run it, and send in a new log

I can't, winetricks doesn't launch. 😦

None of that requires winetricks. Environment variables are defined in the game settings in heroic

I mean you should try the same umu provides container runtime so if it works for me it will for you

https://0x0.st/8Ht4.log I did what the bot told me, and deleted the prefix and changed to proton before testing again.

OK, sorry for previous log, it must have been the same as previous one as I did not actually add the env variable Added the env variable from this article and now it seems to work: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019775837-Game-does-not-launch-Intel-10th-gen-CPU-or-newer?product=gog
