Backup Failing After Unsupported File Type

I am trying to backup all my photos however the backup came across a photo with an unsupported file type (.JP2) and threw an error. I would have expected the backup to just skip over this and continue with the rest but the backup just stops and won’t continue. Is there a way to have the backup skip over the file in question? Is this a setting I need to change? Any help would be appreciated.

I did find this issue on GitHub https://github.com/immich-app/immich/issues/13107 which seems to be the same issue I am having. Although this issue was closed as 'not planned' I feel this issue might have gotten misunderstood as it doesn't seem the reporter is asking for the filetype to be supported just that the file be able to be skipped.
