Region Change Question

Hello, I live in Canada, and my region is set to United States. I am aware that when changing regions, for example from USA to Europe, you will lose rank progression. Considering these are from the same continent rather than changing continent. Will I keep my rank? I am currently Diamond 2 after the reset and don't want to have to start over.

I have to go through a region change process through support tickets in order to change it. And they sent me the terms stating I will lose these benefits, including rank.
