What do you need extra

What about essentials doesn't fit ur needs

@professor You tried every essentialsx alt under the sun

I personally also really dislike essentials, but most of the time you dont even need some form of core plugin

Why do you dislike it Curious
ユアノットルイス 独
I actually can't really point out anything as dumb as it sounds. I dislike the config and i dislike the way some commands behave, thats pretty much it tho

No: not if you run a big server. If you run a survival server, sure I guess. But for the most part it was frustrating for us

Idk ive just subbed it in with different plugins most the time

Anything you don’t want, just put it in disable commands and it’ll disable itself
ユアノットルイス 独
No like i want commands from it but i want them differently

Cmi has had so many dumb exploits, is closed source, missing basic features, quite heavy
ユアノットルイス 独
Its just stuff i now do through other plugins

Essentials is super light Tbh
ユアノットルイス 独
Lighter? Make something custom

It’s alot heavier than essentials Zessentials might be good for you
ユアノットルイス 独
If you want something even lighter and modern there is bookshelf But it has less features obviously

Modrinth
Bookshelf - Minecraft Plugin
A better alternative for EssentialsX, allowing you to use vanilla selectors like @e, @a, or @s. Bookshelf also offers a powerful API that can be used for everyday plugin development.
ユアノットルイス 独
But if ur missing anything u can just use their api i guess, personally not the guy to do that but you can

CMI is heavy but the features are much more complete. I swapped early on and never regretted it. CMI took over for half a dozen premium plugins I was going to have to buy.

Much more complete? It doesnt even have group based sorting for tab, as basic a feature as it gets Theres also usually free good alternatives to most paid plugins

Essentials Kits don't even save NBT data, or they didn't the last time I had used it. CMI handles my rotating message scheduling, portals for executing commands on area entry, Holograms, command aliasing, full rank handler, chat filtering, allows commands to be run on offline users, Ender viewing and editing as seperate features. It has significantly more features, and more of them being complete. Essentials did maybe 5% of what CMI now does for my server. Half the time I look for a new plugin to implement a feature, it turns out CMI already had a module for it. For my server I wanted to implement MCMMO levels as a requirement for ranks, which CMI did out of the box. Essentials I don't believe had that feature when I looked.

essentials isnt perfect noone says that, but its also free, hasnt had the exploits cmi had, and the free standalone plugins for those features are better than cmi comparing to essentials is also kinda moot theres other cores, other plugins that do offer things cmi does while being free, opensource, and have more features and better optimized
