Best backup plugin for a 1.21.8 fabric server hosted on Mac
Im thinking of hosting a server on my MacBook but I’ll be busy and won’t be able to manually create backups since I’ll be somewhere else when the server is running and im worried something might happen and it’ll require a rollback. Are there any good auto backup plugins for fabric 1.21.8-.9? Or how to make a auto create and delete command

Should I move luckperms to the proxy?
Hi, I have several servers linked with a proxy, and they each have their own independent luckperms setup. However I recently switched from bungee to velocity, and I'm having issues getting placeholders to work across the network for custom tablists. Apparently having one centralised luckperms database on the proxy might help with this. Idk much about it though, and looks like a pain to set up. Would it cause new issues if I have separate ranking systems for each server? I also have a donor ranks...
AntiCheat ranking/What’s the best AC for my use case?
So now that we’ve established that Vulcan is bad and Polar is probably the best but also aaS, what one-time paid and/or free AC would you recommend for a server that peaks at like 10 concurrent players or less and at what player count/monthly revenue/something else would you switch to Polar or would you recommend something different as “the best Anti-Cheat”?
Having problems with systemd and tmux
Whenever I run tmux through systemd, it doesn't actually create the tmux session. It works fine if I run tmux directly, but not through systemd.
The tmux command in question:
tmux -L minecraft new-session -c /srv/minecraft/server -s minecraft -d 'java -Xmx8G -Xms256M -jar paper.jar nogui'
(yes I know i'm not using the optimal flags, i'm just setting it up though)...Solution:
I figured it out! The user I was running the script as was a system user and so they had nologin as the shell.
When I ran it from su -u username -s, it worked fine because I was running it in a shell, but obviously systemd doesn't have that.
So I just set the shell environment variable in the systemd unit and it works now...
Oracle server
Does it worth time to setup oracle server or i just should use Aternos?
Im running free private minecraft server just because no one wants to pay Im forced to use free hosting or use own money to pay for hosting(which i really don't want to since i already gave them my time for free)
localhosting is BAD idea for me and here's why: setup alone will be harder like ddos protection or some way to hide my ip also making sure electricity costs aren't expensive and just getting that one device to host server in first place which sum up to be more expensive for server that will run only couple weeks than buying hosting for month

Looking for a polling/voting plugin.
I’m looking for a plugin that enables players to hold in-game votes or elections. I don’t mean external voting sites like Planet Minecraft, what I want is something that allows players to cast votes directly on the server, for example to elect a Mayor or decide on community rules/events. Ideally it would have features like configurable vote options, GUI or chat-based ballots, and clear results tracking.
Ways of reducing internet data usage?
Hi, my server has limited data usage each month, and seems to be running out just before the end of the month, so I need to slightly reduce usage.
Chat GOT suggested lowering render distance and network compression threshold. Any other ideas? Could some plugins be using a lot, like Bluemap?
I installed Netlimiter and the Minecraft server seems to be using about 1MB/s which seems a little high for Minecraft....

One specific player causes the server to crash on log in
I'm running a server through a host for me and a couple of friends. The other day, one of us got suddenly kicked out of the game. Since then, whenever they try to log in, they crash the whole server. However, my other friend and I can log in and play just fine, even in the area where our currently bugged friend got kicked, which is in the middle of our base.
We've tried deleting their playerdata but it didn't work. I attach the crash reports of the last time they tried to log in.
The server is running a pretty heavy modpack (Modified Cobblemon Plus), as a piece of extra info....
1.20.1 to 1.21.5 update caused hella problems
1. Hella duplicate mobs now, any way to just get rid of them all at once with killing everything?
2. Entities spike my MSPT now so much more, in 1.20.1 i got like 15-16 mspt on the nether roof, after updating it goes to over 40 mspt, same thing in the overworld. Someone please help with this...
Boot off HDD or SSD
Using quite bit old hardware (i7 4770, 16GB ddr3 dual channel) and I’m going to use a SATA SSD to store the world and server, however I’m debating if I should boot the operating system itself on a HDD or the same SSD that the world is on. Don’t really care about the system’s boot time, only the servers speed.
Aternos cracked server issue — Auth mod doesn’t block chat/commands before login
So I’ve got an Aternos server running with cracked enabled (my friends don’t all have premium accounts). I added the Auth mod to handle passwords, but it’s kinda useless — before players /login or /register, they can still:

Run commands...
Safe boot for a server
Is there a way or a fabric mod to "safe boot" my server as in it sets the tick rate to 0 and stops all chunk loaders?
This is just to detect any lag machines on the server. Also is there like a log system that shows us what chunk is causing lag. i also need something like Xaero's map but for the whole world so where ever players go I can see the chunks loaded on that "universal map'....
crashing when entering specific areas
so i started this server yesterday and very quickly someone got kicked and i was trying to figure out why and then this morning and another player got kicked in the exact same area so i believe its a chunk thing but im not sure what or how??
