Hard Resetting Facial Recognition
I am trying different facial recognition settings on a limited number of photos. I would like to do a hard reset between changes, so I've been using Face Detection > Reset in Jobs, as the instructions say that "Reset" additionally clears all current face data." . Yet, each time I do this I still see names that I had assigned in the past. Is there any way to start completely from scratch each time, with all names cleared as well?

You'd want to reset face recognition as well
Yes, i did that.
I mean, maybe I did not do that consecutively. Let me try that real quick.
Nope. That did not work. The interesting thing is that the facial recognition reset zips through 600 photos in just a few seconds, seemingly not doing any processing.
Are there any other resets that need to be done?
Maybe it's assuming that anything which has already been assigned is a done deal, and only resetting those that have not been assigned?
The reset button clears all facial recognition data, excluding faces imported from EXIF metadata. People still associated with metadata faces don’t get deleted
If you don’t use the metadata face import feature, the intended behavior is for it to clear everything then and there. It’s a bug if this isn’t the case
I see now what was happening. Thank you. It was metadata that was imported, that wasn't cleared.
