custom block textures? mc 1.21.3
i have tried using custom model data on blocks and it doesnt work, as expected. i have heard that you can make a datapack that summons an item frame with the custom texture on a vanilla block, but this causes entity lag and is difficult to pull off. i need an easy alternative to this for my server. i know it is possible because plugins like myfurniture do things like this, but is it because it uses blue candles? or is it still using the item frame trick? also, the item frame trick doesnt let you use custom hitboxes which i will also need.
