Immages failing to upload and failing to display

I started experincing this issue after I updated to 125.3. I updtaed to 125.5 and it didn't fix anything. I renamed the .env file to example.env because macos would not let me keep the name ".env"

Checklist I have... 1. :ballot_box_with_check: verified I'm on the latest release(note that mobile app releases may take some time). 2. :ballot_box_with_check: read applicable release notes. 3. :ballot_box_with_check: reviewed the FAQs for known issues. 4. :blue_square: reviewed Github for known issues. 5. :ballot_box_with_check: tried accessing Immich via local ip (without a custom reverse proxy). 6. :ballot_box_with_check: uploaded the relevant information (see below). 7. :blue_square: tried an incognito window, disabled extensions, cleared mobile app cache, logged out and back in, different browsers, etc. as applicable (an item can be marked as "complete" by reacting with the appropriate number) Information In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider: - Your docker-compose.yml and .env files. - Logs from all the containers and their status (see above). - All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. - Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system. - Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware). - Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h). - The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces. - Any other information that you think might be relevant. Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots. Without the right information we can't work out what the problem is. Help us help you ;) If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close command, and re-open it later if needed.

renamed the .env file to example.env
This won't work because the docker-compose file is expecting .env I can create .env file on MacOS, can you doulbe check? Maybe you need to rename it in the command line
Alex Tran
Alex Tran4mo ago
Or you need to change these value to match the file name

I just did this to attach it to the post. On the linux server it is .env I have my own server that I ssh into and I didn't feel like using scp to copy the files so I just copy and pasted the contents lol

Can you run thumbnail generation job for all again? Along with metadata job for all?
legofasnake
legofasnakeOP4mo ago
Good idea. Should've thought of that lol Failed to send job command (Immich Server Error)

Looks like redis is not communicating perhaps? Try docker compose down then docker compose up Then run the job again
legofasnake
legofasnakeOP4mo ago
yes redis was not responding its starting up again rn Lots of errors in the log since running the jobs how should I send the logs?
Alex Tran
Alex Tran4mo ago

Zeus

legofasnake
legofasnakeOP4mo ago
Maybe from updating Immich a bunch? I’m not sure. I only use docker for Immich
Zeus
Zeus4mo ago
sure, every time you update you get a new version installed unless you clean those out they stay there
