Backup a folder tree on Android
Finally, installed immich on my home lab and I can see why people rave about it. I have a mix of iPhone and Android users in the house, me being the only Android user.
I categorize the photos on my phone by year and month similar to the storage templates on the server. However, I can't seem to add the top level folder for backup in the app which would allow me to backup the whole tree as is instead of choosing individual albums.
Is there a way to do this? If so, how do I go about doing it?

Not sure what the qualifier is, but I imagine it should identify as an album somehow
Possibly making a new album and putting all others inside of it should work 🤔
I'd test that first with a couple of dummy folders though
Any folder with at least one asset does show up, but its not recursive I'm afraid. Design wise, it kinda makes sense not to show such folders in a list, because otherwise pretty much all folders need to be present there.
However, I was wondering if there's something like a folder picker to pick and choose custom folders which aren't auto detected.
No, not yet. It makes sense though
I don't think this exists as FR yet
Thanks for confirming. I'll try to find a work around that works for me.
