Some assets are not automatically uploaded unless I open the upload tab manually
Hello
I'm facing a weird issue with immich, some assets are automatically uploaded normally to my server after 1 minute while other assets ( larger assets typically from what I have noticed ) are not.
I have to open the Backup page in the mobile app and wait until they are uploaded
What I see in the console is something like
The issue has been there for a long time, it's not related to the latest update but I have no clue it started at which version.
I will post docker-compose and .env in the comments as the message length is too long to be posted

I have...
1. :ballot_box_with_check: verified I'm on the latest release(note that mobile app releases may take some time).
2. :ballot_box_with_check: read applicable release notes.
3. :ballot_box_with_check: reviewed the FAQs for known issues.

5. :ballot_box_with_check: tried accessing Immich via local ip (without a custom reverse proxy).
6. :ballot_box_with_check: uploaded the relevant information (see below).
7. :ballot_box_with_check: tried an incognito window, disabled extensions, cleared mobile app cache, logged out and back in, different browsers, etc. as applicable

Please note that after I open the backup tab again and wait, the assets are getting uploaded normally so it's not related to reverse proxy
I'm gonna ask anyways - are you using a reverse proxy or such? Have you tried whether the issue still happens if you bypass it and connect straight to port 2283?
And also, what device are you using?
I'm using a reverse proxy, nginxproxymanager with the following custom configurations.
I tried using it without the reverse proxy directly to the port, still I'm having issues
I'm using a Google Pixel 6A
Thank you in advance
Can you reproduce the issue and then post the full logs from both the app and the server?
Please tell me about your OS, mount point, share type, filesystem
So just now, I logged out of the mobile app. I logged in using direct ip and port ( local network )
I restarted immich and then opened the app on my phone
Multiple files are showing as Failed
I think part of the problem is the storage template as I have separated the thumbs from the actual folder to store them in the cache previousally.
Also I can see some Postgres duplicate key errors which I have no ideas why did they happen
My OS is UNRAID 6.12.10, I'm mounting the app to my array
This is the full log
I have been using immich for over a year so maybe there are some issues in the database ( duplicate keys ) as well in the storage template. If there is any way to clean these issues rather that starting a new instance that would be great
So you’re mounting the unraid array directly into the immich docker container which is running on unraid bare metal? No virtualization?
App logs, please note that the large files that failed previousally are already uploaded now
Exactly, no virtualization. Normal unraid setup bare metal.
Can you try to view that ENOSUP file on the unraid side and see how it looks?
That’s a very odd error
Basically this directory exists but with no files inside of it
root@local-nuc:~# ls /mnt/user/immich/files/upload/ff2cd5ff-5737-4027-8db8-0e19afaf90d6/ed/6b
This is the full parth from immich error

Do you use the storage template?
Can you check the Postgres DB for that asset and see where it ended up? I wonder if there’s a race condition here
I'm using storage template, yes. Not because I have used them but they were enabled at some point maybe because I started using immich really long ago and it was enabled by one of the updates to preserve the structure

Yeah it usually works totally fine just trying to think of ideas
When I transferred the thumbs to the cache location, I faced so many issues related to that as the directories are overlapping which caused me to do it multiple times until I reached the correct configuration
Maybe while i was doing that something happened that
I'm really not sure, if there is anything that I can provide to make things easier I would do it
But maybe as a feature, running some kind of cleanup which will detect any abnormality like a having some record for a non-existing file or vice versa
