Information
In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l
and df -h
).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.
Without the right information we can't work out what the problem is. Help us help you ;)
If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.I'm having the same question. It's still not so clear how to do it after reading the docker-compose documentation link.
In your case you need to read the breaking changes first @Ronald from 360Creators
For compose projects in SCM, stop the project, update any compose changes, then BUILD it
I believe you need to delete the containers & images as well or it'll just reuse the old ones
Oops, meant to turn ping off
No worries
Those instructions don't work for Synology as Synology is
docker-compose
I took a look and I don't understand what to look for.
Stop the project, check.
Update any compose changes. Which changes?
And should I delete the containers and images like Tempest says?
I'm a bit worried to loose the data.
The breaking ones I linked you
If your database and images are stored in synology and not in a docker volume (you'd need to have modified the compose to store them in a docker volume so you'd remember this) then you're good. if you want to be safe, post compose and env files and we can check
If you "clean" the project, it'll delete the containers, then under the images tab "delete unused images", the under the project tab you can rebuild the project and it should work
If you're worried about losing data, that signals that your backups aren't good enough
