Resident Evil & Various Other Games Won't Launch
Apologies if this is an easy fix but I'm quite new to using Heroic. This is the AppImage and when I click to launch the game it says "playing" for a second before closing. I've tried changing directories, using a custom Proton to no avail. Any help will be appreciated and I'll be happy to learn from it 🙂

- Don't add Proton like that, install it from Heroic's Wine Manager
- Your prefix path (
/home/james/Documents/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default//Resident Evil) has a stray /
- You've set an EXE override to /home/james/Documents/Games/Heroic/Resident Evil/ResidentEvil.exe, which is probably unnecessary
- You're missing Winetricks' dependencies (no idea how to install those on Gentoo though). Heroic's Flatpak version will probably work better on this distrostormy-goldOP•4mo ago
Apologies the stray / and the EXE override were other workarounds I tried to no luck, I'm thinking the Flatpak route will be the less tedious route

Now SpongeBob which worked on the AppImage says it is "playing" but it doesn't actually launch, sorry to be a pain
To help you, we need a game log. Please see the following images on how to get it.

Head to "Settings" (sidebar) -> "Advanced", scroll down to "Experimental Features" and tick "Use UMU as Proton runtime", then re-run the game
If that still doesn't work, send in a new log
