is it possible to run `code-server` locally, and then code in the browser?

i've just installed coder, and it's running locally a-okay. i've created a workspace, and i can launch the terminal from the browser, and interact with the terminal that way.

i'd like to be able to code from the browser as well - is this possible? when i click code servercode server it opens a new browser window, but the window is all white. there are no errors in the network tab or console of the dev tools for this popup site, so i'm not sure what to do.

any insight?
