Bazzite not detecting htc vive headset as a display (Nvidia , laptop)

I'm not sure if this is a known issue, but I couldn't find much information regarding the problem I'm currently facing.
When I connect my VR headset via HDMI, it doesn't get detected as a display, and Steamvr says it couldn't connect to the headset's display. I've also tried using a USB hub with an HDMI to usb-c adapter, but it still doesn't work.
System details:
Laptop , nvidia card 2060
Bazzite nvidia version
