GTA V Enhanced ON Linux
Getting 2~ seconds of black screen, then game and launcher closes.
Using the fix.bat thing and SteamDeck=1 env doesn't help.

https://github.com/telqor/proton-ge-custom/releases telqor made a MR with the fix, you can download the fixed proton in his fork. You still need the fix.bat.

theres a 120fps cap for some reason, no MSAA option, my save file didn't transfer, there isn't a native vulkan option or dx11 (even though rdr2 had vulkan)

You can use FSR/DLSS AA
With is in my opnion, better than MSAA

Rockstar cloud, right? But for some reason they decided you need to open GTA V Legacy, go to the menu, and choose the option to upload your save game, after that you can get the save on enhnaced version

You may need to load up GTA Online even if you only want to transfer your story mode saves.

are you on windows? if so try opening the rockstar launcher it'll ask you to install battleye then you can start the game

just install the redistributables on the GTA 5 directory using winetricks
and make sure to not use the fix.bat on first run after installing redistributables

everything is now working for me btw, and I was able to decrease the storage size of the game by following this reddit post to remove all the online files: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1j3bdii/psa_for_any_gta_v_players_on_linuxsteam_deck/

Extract the folder inside the file download here:
~/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/
Like this:
~/.steam/root/compatibilitytools.d/GE-Proton9.../...
Then, inside heroic in the game's setting switch the proton version for the new one.

Hey guys, Im on Steam Deck and I can't get it to work for the love of god.
I have the fix.bat thing set up, as well as the 9.25-GTA proton version.
However, when I try to start the game it just says Internal Error and then "Unable to install prerequisites, please try reinstalling the game". I have tried installing MS redistributables via Protontricks in the GTA folder, however not sure if that worked out since I encountered some errors during that process.
