Did you try doing a clean boot ?
Press windows key
Search “msconfig”
And open “System Configuration”
Head to “Services” tab
Click on “Hide all Microsoft services”
And then “Disable all”
And find “vgc” and enable that only
Open task manager > startup apps
And disable all
And restart pc
nah never tried it what this thing do?
Disabling all non essential services and only running valorant
even vanguard?
on the task manger
That’s just notification
You can leave it enabled if you like
Still not working
I don't think it's fixable
Try contacting support
You might just have to reinstall windows :AG_Nod:

idk if this is still open but i cant find vgc in services (i uninstalled the game) and when im at the install vanguard stage of installation it just says "we couldn't install a required dependancy"

;vgc
- Open the Task Manager > Details tab
- End the task on all VALORANT, Riot Client and VANGUARD-related apps/services
- Open the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
- Uninstall Riot VANGUARD
- Open CMD as Admin and type these commands:
- sc delete vgc
- sc delete vgk
- Navigate to your C: Drive, then Program Files
- Find the VANGUARD folder and delete it
- Open the Riot Client and click update
- Restart your computer after the update
After you’re done with that:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type services.msc
- Look for vgc
- Right-click on vgc > Properties
- Change the startup type to automatic
- Start the services (if not started already)
We will be waiting for your response, thank you.
^ follow these steps
@The Soviet Union
So i already uninstalled valorant so i dont have vanguard anymore when i try to sc delete vgc and vgk it just says this, i cannot find vgc in services

Go next step
Delete the folder if it’s there
so theres a riot and valorant folder but no vanguard
Check riot client now, is the update clickable^
yes, when i click on update it downloads for a bit then goes back to this

Download auto runs from the system internal suite
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
When you have it open press file, and then run as administrator
Then uncheck anything that is red or yellow
Except Vanguard and anything that fails to be unchecked
Restart your computer and then try the game again
Autoruns - Sysinternals
See what programs are configured to startup automatically when your system boots and you login.
i tried that it still says we oculdn't install a required dependency
right now i dont have vanguard at all and its not installing through riot client
