iOS full image resolution pull

Hello, I am wondering. in iOS one can ebale to only keep full size files on the iCloud (and then they are downloaded whenever are needed). So does that mean immich use photokit ios to pull full size resolutions from iCloud of does it just upload whatever is in the photo library (let that be low resolution previews or full size temporarly downloaded originals)? Thank you.

We always use the original file during upload, not the low res ones from library
