Night light temperature bugged somehow

Hi, I installed a bunch of software from the Discover app the day before yesterday, and after a reboot it appears the night light settings have been changed, 1000k used to be very red but now it is is significantly less so, same with 1500k and everything. LMK if this is a more KDE focused question and I should ask their community instead.

If not, this has happened before, I noticed it happen on a previous bazzite install as well, it started one way then I added some software and suddenly it couldn't go as red anymore.

I installed a lot of software from the software center, I could list everything I did (is there any way to sort things by install date?) but it's a lot.

It appears this is happening even on other user accounts.

Ever since I rebooted, using the slider in the night light settings at maximum does not eliminate nearly as much blue light as it used to. It used to make everything very red with basically no other colors visible, now with the slider at max it is not nearly as warm as before, I can for example still see blues on 1000k which used to not be the case.
I have lots of headaches right now so the blue light filter being able to be very red was very very helpful.
I'm not even sure where to begin looking for solutions.
Thanks for your time ^^

Edit: It's set to always on so it shouldn't have anything to do with timing, aside from bugs
