Maybe I'm missing something obvious, appreciate any advice.
Driver crash, and it seems to triggered by DH fog.

Do you have any other mods installed?
distanthorizons only
Tried some other fixes today, to no avail:
-Reinstalled openjdk
-reimaged windows
-tried the two versions prior to current driver
-Changed some fog-related settings to low as someone mentioned it was fog
Figured out you can disable rendering, load into a world, enable it and it'll work. Then it crashes again when you set the render distance.
Same problem here. Could confirm disabling rendering before joining the world acts as a temporary workaround.
What's your specs

Acer Swift 3 with AMD 5500U and no dedicated graphics.
Interesting, AMD bug maybe? can you post your logs to mclo.gs?
