Slow to wake from sleep
having an odd issue with my Bazzite install on a Minisforum UM870 slim and wake from sleep (using the deck image). It's a Ryzen 7 8745H with Radeon 780M graphics. System works great for the most part, but when resuming from sleep, it initially shows the screen as it was when it was set to sleep for a few seconds, then goes blank for almost a minute before finally resuming. I've tried playing around with BIOS settings (not that there are many) including IOMMU in both BIOS and adding the disable command to grub. Not sure where to start debugging this. I'd like to use is as a TV box and for streaming (which has worked great so far). But taking a minute to resume from sleep kinda defeats the purpose. Any thoughts?

Nope, ended up returning it. Got a machine with a 6600xt in it, and it wakes from sleep no issue. Got to be a bios/uefi issue with the machine
I ended up returning it yesterday lol. I’m getting a beeline ser8 so hopefully that works better.
Keep me posted, since I like the idea of it, but the execution has to work. I have concerns about minisforum quality control and how important uefi/bios updates are to them.
Yeah, I could not find any bios updates for misinform. Beelink seems to have better support on that front and some of the reviews I watched mentioned good Linux support. I haven’t ordered the beelink yet because I am waiting on the return funds to come back. It may be around a week before I can post an update.
Ended up ordering the beeline and it should be here soon. I’ll let you know how it works with bazzite later.
Got the new pc and I still had the same issue on the Beelink. Tried a bunch of bios sleep settings but nothing really worked for me. Ended up installing one of the newer steam deck recovery images and it’s working great with no issues as a htpc.

Interesting, it must be a fedora issue then. Thanks for checking! I might do the same on my new pc I built that is using bazzite, but still has a few quirks. Maybe we just need to wait for steamos full release? 😆
